Home News & Events National Careers Week

4th March 2024

National Careers Week

From the 4th-8th March, our school is taking part in National Careers week. This is a chance for all of our students to think about their future opportunities. There will be lessons and activities across the school that will help pupils investigate the world of work, further education, and their own pathway forward.

Young people can progress forward on their life journey into training, employment or even starting their own businesses. As a starting point next week, we will be having a talk from a local businessman on how they started their own enterprise, and the challenges and benefits of being you own boss.

Over the next few months, we will be working with other local businesses, colleges and careers services to engage all of our students in activities that lead into their futures.

We will also be using digital technology to access a virtual careers fair where pupils of all ages can meet with around 100 employers from all walks of life.

I hope that the information attached can help inform you about the upcoming week and provide some starting points for conversations that might help your child decide on their career pathway
