Home News & Events S1 Environmental Pride Week – Tynemouth Beach Visit
As part of Environmental Pride Week, S1 took part in a visit to Tynemouth Beach, where pupils explored the natural environment and learned about ways to support local wildlife.
During the visit, pupils collected a variety of sea glass and shells from the beach. They discussed how natural and recycled materials can be reused creatively and responsibly. Back at school, pupils will use their findings to create bee cups, providing a safe place for bees and other pollinators to stop and drink water. This activity helped pupils understand the important role pollinators play in our ecosystem and how small actions can make a positive difference to wildlife.
Throughout the visit, pupils worked well together, showing enthusiasm, curiosity, and respect for the environment. They demonstrated a growing awareness of how they can help care for nature and take pride in supporting their local community and wildlife.
