Home News & Events Reading Reward Trip
On Wednesday 20th of May, pupils from our reading intervention group
enjoyed their reading reward trip to a local ‘The Works’ book shop at
Royal Quays to celebrate their good progress in reading.
During the visit, pupils explored a range of books and chose a book they
really liked to take home.
As well as a reward for their hard work, the trip encouraged enthusiasm
for reading, independence in choosing their own book and positive
discussions around attending reading intervention sessions in school.
Everyone enjoyed sitting chatting, whilst having a drink in the nearby
café and took advantage of the time to look at and share their new
books.
It was an absolute joy to accompany the group and watch them
confidently choose books they were so excited to read and share.
