Enrichment Trip to St Mary’s Lighthouse

We have visited St Mary’s Lighthouse in Whitley Bay, to see the local wildlife in action. The combination of nature, open space, wildlife, and a calm sensory environment offers opportunities for emotional regulation, confidence-building, and personal development in ways that are often difficult to achieve in a traditional classroom setting. We seen a range of Birds and of course the Seals and listened to some of the experts’ facts and recent observations. It has been lovely to see students really expand their curiosity along our local coastline this term, especially now the weather is improving.
