Walking for Comic Relief

On the morning of Wednesday March 19th some students with staff walked from our Ashington site to the beach at Newbiggin by the Sea.  This was a four mile walk which the learners were participating in to raise money for Comic Relief.  The walk was magnificent in that the weather was clear blue sky and sunny, making for ideal walking conditions.  Some focal points were taken in through Ashington Woods, Woodhorn, the outskirts of Newbiggin and finally the beach.  Learners walked really well without any complaints and were rewarded with magnificent views of the beach at Newbiggin and the surrounding area including Cambois and Blyth.  They then got to play in a very spacious and well-equipped park found at the end of the walk.  Well done to everyone who took part who raised money for such a worthy cause.
