Reverend Kim Wears visited Parkside House School to deliver an engaging session on the Easter story to pupils in groups S1 and N1. She explained the meaning of Easter in a clear and accessible way, helping pupils to understand the significance of Jesus’ death and resurrection within the Christian faith.
During the session, pupils also learned about the symbolism of Easter traditions, including eggs representing new life and hot cross buns symbolising the crucifixion. Reverend Wears adapted her approach to suit the needs of the pupils, creating a calm and inclusive environment.
Pupils in both groups were kind, respectful, and listened very well throughout the session. They engaged positively, demonstrating curiosity and a growing understanding of religious beliefs and traditions. The visit supported pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) development and encouraged respect for different faiths and celebrations.
