Plasma Coil Experiments @ Ashington

This half term, learners have learnt about the plasma coil (linked to Nikola Tesla) and the homopolar motor. They experimented touching the plasma globe and discussed how electricity is influenced by our bodies as good conductors, and designed their own motor, using copper wire, magnets and 3AAA batteries.
