Learners engaged in a fun and ‘fizzy’ scientific experiment, to further learn about the interaction of an alkaline (baking soda) and acidic ingredient (white vinegar), with the gas inflating the balloon. They added food coloring for an additional effect, and noticed that the interaction created a ‘cold’ effect due to the carbon dioxide gas which contributes to a drop in temperature
